April was a true lifesaver for our family during a very difficult time. She helped our family navigate through the end-of-life process for my Dad who was dealing with cancer. The time was approaching when we were going to have to start looking for an adult living facility with the option of memory care for my mother in law. Two of her siblings had Alzheimer's before they passed, and we knew we needed to have a plan. We had no idea where to start. I remembered a friend who had recently gone through this with her mother. I cared for my dad myself for six years before his care needs suddenly changed and he needed placement in a facility. It is a thankless “job”, and I was amazed to find April not just attending to my dad’s requirements, and respecting his wishes, but also being concerned about my health and well-being in that stressful time.

Even more invaluable to me, April is dedicated to finding the most appropriate placement, with supervision by those with a medical background. I had previously used a caregiving service that, in an emergency, told me they “are really only a non-medical staffing agency”. It has been exactly a year ago that I moved my mom into an assisted living facility. It was an overwhelming and daunting task I was faced with.
